MultiChoice Uganda is ramping up its offerings for 2024, promising an exciting array of local shows, sports events, and beloved series, all designed to elevate the entertainment experience across the region. At a recent showcase, the broadcaster highlighted its rich upcoming content schedule, featuring both popular returning series such as "Kampala Crème" and "DamaLie," and exciting new productions including "Mum Vs Wife" and "Crossroads," all available exclusively on Pearl Magic Prime and Pearl Magic.

Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, emphasized the company's dedication to leveraging local talent. “We are committed to collaborating with Ugandan creatives to bring local voices and stories to the forefront, enhancing diversity and fostering socio-economic growth,” Jamugisa explained.

For younger viewers, MultiChoice is set to introduce engaging content including the finale of "Juniors Drama Club" and new cartoons such as "Pokémon Horizons," "That Girl Lay Lay," and the "Lady Bug and Cat Noir" movie.

The company recently celebrated significant achievements at the IKON and New Vision Film Awards, with "DamaLie" clinching the Best TV Series title at both ceremonies. Brian Mulondo, Local Content Marketing Manager, highlighted MultiChoice's role in cultivating local talent and promoting diverse narratives.

Streaming and Customer Convenience

As internet usage in Uganda climbs, with 13 million users recorded—a 10.3% increase from the previous year—MultiChoice is enhancing its digital footprint with GOtv Stream. This service allows viewers to catch up on missed episodes and watch live content wherever they are. Jamugisa praised the convenience offered by these digital solutions, noting, “GOtv Stream allows our customers to enjoy a wealth of entertainment options with just a few clicks, anywhere and anytime.”

Additionally, the MyGOtv self-service apps have been updated to include a live chat feature, providing immediate assistance to users.
